Can an Optiplex 380 run dual monitors with the default video card?

Hi,

I have an Optiplex 380 with a single VGA port, Intel G41 Express display adapter.  Our vendor sales rep sold us VGA splitter cables, and now when I plug in both monitors, it just mirrors the image.  In the intel management software and in windows display properties (and device manager), it only detects one monitor.

Does this display adapter even support dual monitors, or was I duped to boost our rep's sales (because now , when I ask them if it supports it, they're trying to sell us video cards as an answer).

Please help :)
Thanks!
