A friend has given me their Philips Freevents LS1400 Media centre computer as it no longer work them so I thought I'd see if it might be useful as another machine to plug faulty things into.  However it will only boot into Philips System Recovery and nothing else.  I've tried hitting various Function keys and it does offer to boot from another device so I plugged an XP installation disc into the DVD but it ignores it and goes right on into System REcovery.  Has anyone got any idea how I can boot into Windows.  It would be quite handy to use as a spare machine to use to recover some of the faulty laptop SATA drives I'm trying to work on for customers.
