Windows Print Spool/Buffer Size

What is the default size of the print spool/buffer on a Windows 2003 or XP system?  Is it just limited to the amount of hard drive space on the computer?  I located the location of the Print Spool by opening up Printers, then right clicking and going to Server Properties.  The Spool Folder is set to C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS.  I found somewhere that the max print aspool file size is 4GB but I think that would only be for FAT32 file systems.   Any info would be appreciated.
