OpenOffice Presentation 10 second Delay

I am not an expert with Openoffice and am having trouble getting the 10 second delay between the presentation replay to be removed.  We have people that are using Powerpoint to create and update a show that runs on large screen monitors.  I have a linux box set up to run the show using Openoffice.  They save the Powerpoint as a .pps file and by using a cron script I can stop the show, copy the new file into place and start the show again.  This happens without any user action on the linux box.  Everything works fine except that when the show cycles around to the beginning again, there is a 10 second delay before it starts.  I know about the menu option to remove the 10 seconds.  However that would require a user to go into the box and set the option each time.  That is what I am trying to get away from.  Yes, they could do their thing in Powerpoint, save it, open it in Openoffice and make the setting changes, but everyone knows that is 'too much work' for the normal user.  I found one article on creating a macro to control this but as I said, I am not really good with Openoffice and I got lost as to how and where to create it.

Does anyone know of a way to make it so the 10 second delay is removed regardless of the setting in the file?  I am using Openoffice version is 3.2. If it can be done with a macro, can you be very specific about the steps in creating it.

Thanks you.

To test, view them in MS software and see if all is OK.  If so, that proves the comment above.

I do apreciate the comment but it does not solve the problem.  I would thing that if you could open OO and enter a setting to not have the 10 second delay, then it would be possible somehow to make the default for OO to not use the 10 second delay.

After 2 weeks of this being posted and only getting one response I am going to close this topic so It is not hanging out there.  Even though it was not the answer I was looking for, I will give some points for at least responding.
well I wasn't after points.  I have experienced this problem in MANY MANY types of conversions where one program is reading the file format created by a different program.  In most cases, they get 90% of the file format correct, but they always miss some detail in the conversion.  Try to show with MS PP to test.
