Trying to Disable/Delete Publishing and Distribution

I tried creating a Peer to Peer Replication on SQL Server 2008. I am trying to Delete or disable ir but I get the following error:
I tried the solution provided here but it didnt work for me.

I checked permissions on the user and have given complete control to the user.

Check the sp_dropdistributor @no_checks = 1
