Windows 2008 - maintaining iscsi shares.
I have a Windows 2008 server and some iscsi volumes from Dell Equallogic PS5000 series.
The volume contains folders that are shared by this server.
The problem arises on reboot - some times it happens that MS Lanman server service runs earlier than iscsi initiator and shares are unavalilable.
Microsoft posted a KB870964 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870964) which suggests to make the server service dependent on iscsi initiator service. This results in a total system crash. The situation is described by other people here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverfiles/thread/3316a5e0-fc2f-4300-917d-66e1527b4aa7
The idea is to rollback the changes suggested by KB870964 and everything works fine.
Do you have any idea how to do this correctly - to have the shares maintained ?
