I would try re-installing the Power Manager package. Download it here.

Turn your laptop into a mobile console!

The CV211 Laptop USB Console Adapter provides a direct Laptop-to-Computer connection for fast and easy remote desktop access with no software to install.

Try removing the software first in Add/Remove programs. Then restart the computer and delete that target directory. I can't see the name because it is hidden. Then try again to install.

I am not sure I know what you mean by "I even tried reinstalling factory defaults"

After you uninstalled the software and restarted the computer, did you get the error?

Let's try this again. Uninstalled the software and restart the computer then delete the target directory. What happens when you restart?
