export a blob field

I am trying to export a table from a mysql database.  The table includes a blob field and why i export using sql or directly to ms access the blob field which contains a long description does not copy across.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

mysqldump -uuser -ppass db dbname > exported.sql

Thank you shinug, that seems to do what I want.  If you don't mind I have a follow up question - the syntax for importing the exported.sql file (or at least one of the tables in it) into a different database with the same structure.

mysqlimport -uuser -ppass --replace --fields-terminated-by=';' dbname /path/to/db/file/to/import
