The localized version of Office 11 is not available yet where I live, but expected soon. A customer of me wants to use Outlook as main client for email, calendar etc.

I'm wondering how compatible Outlook 11 Mac is with the services (iCal server, Address Book server, no email) on a Snow Leopard server.
Anyone of the experts here working with this construction?
Is it running smoothly?
Both for users and groups (shared calendars and address books)
Any notable (known) issues occured? If so, which ones?

There's no CalDav or CardDAV support, so you are unable to use Outlook 2011 with Apple’s Address Book server or any other CardDAV server or iCal server. The first release is geared nearly 100% for Exchange users and I assume this stuff will be included in later releases or patches. Also, there's no sync services so you can't sync the data with iCal and Address book.

So, no dice in this situation...need to stick with iCal and Address Book.

Not the answer I was hoping to read, but I suppose you're right. Microsoft still focused on it's own propriatry stuff... (can you provide a link?). Thanks for your feedback.
