I was told that it is possible to convert a regular SharePoint List into a calendar.  If so, how do I do that?

thank you.

You can create new View for List. List must have some specified for calendar fields
Just select Create View from List header right menu (Picture 1 in attachment)
then click on "Calendar View" (Picture 2)
and select right fields from comboboxes (Picture 3)
