Back to a dying server, we are trying to use an imap program to migrate data. But it looks like exchange will only accept NTLM:

imap capability
* CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4rev1 IDLE LOGIN-REFERRALS MAILBOX-REFERRALS NAMESPACE LI
TERAL+ UIDPLUS CHILDREN AUTH=NTLM
imap OK CAPABILITY completed.

How do I enable plain login (it is already checked basic authentication)

Open Exchange System Manager --> Administrative Groups -->  First Administrative Groups --> Servers -->  Expand the server -->  Protocols -->  Imap and open the properties

Select the Access tab and Authentication button...

Uncheck Simple Authentication and Security Layer...it should be off
