Is the Windows 7 Add Printer Wizard Limited to 20 Printers

I have a Windows 2008 R2 domain. My print server has 25 printers published to Active Directory. When I run the add printer wizard on a Windows 7 box, printers 1-20 are available to install. If I click Printer Was No Displayed in List and open the classic style add printer wizard that was available in XP, all 25 printers are available to install.

If I unpublish, printers 1-5, printers 21-25 are available when I run the Windows 7 add printer wizard.

Is the add printer wizard in Windows 7 limited to 20 printers. Searched Google and couldn't find anything.

You can customize the number of printers displayed or even disable the Network Scan page using Group Policy:

1.Click Start, search for gpedit.msc and press ENTER.
2.Browse to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Printers.
3.Double click Add Printer wizard - Network scan page (Managed network).
From the description of that policy setting:

"If this setting is disabled, the network scan page will not be displayed.

If this setting is not configured, the Add Printer wizard will display the default number of printers of each type:
Directory printers: 20
TCP/IP printers: 0
Web Services printers: 0
Bluetooth printers: 10
Shared printers: 0

If you would like to not display printers of a certain type, enable this policy and set the number of printers to display to 0."

Hope this helps.
