I would like to copy data from one cell on the Account record in MS Dynamics CRM to another also on the Account record.  I see the script that you have suggeted but I have no idea how to run it. What would the workflow look like if I was to build an on-demand workflow to do this?

The script that you saw in the related post is added to the OnLoad, OnSave or OnChange event for the form of the  account entity.

When do you want the copy of data to happen? The answer to this will decide whether the script metho(JavaScript on one of the above events) or a workflow is the best way to go.

This is a one time thing. I am going to copy the data from one cell to another for current records. All new records will have the info entered into the correct cell.

In that case, I would use workflow.  You will need to use an Update Record step. Click the Set Properties button next to the step and in the Update Account screen click in the field that you wish to copy to and then on the right hand side in the Form Assistant choose Set to under Operator, Account under Look For and then the field that you want to copy from underneath Account. Then Click Add and then click OK towards the bottom of the form assistant.

Yellow hightlighted text should appear in the field that you want to copy to. Then click SAve and Close. This is the workflow. When you run the workflow the source field will be copied to the destination field.

I've attached a screenshot where I've got Street 1 being set to the value of Street 2.

hope this helps.
