My end users want to be able to open two instances of an application, and have then running side by side on dual monitors.  In The RDP-TCP Properties (Configuration for Remote Desktop Session Host server) I have the 'limit maximum number of monitors per session' set to 4.  However, I am not sure about where to set that I do not want to span, I want each monitor to be treated as dual seperate monitors.  So, essentially, I want to be able to open up my remote app for word on one monitor, and open up another instance of my remote app word on my second monitor.  Is there anything additional that needs to be set at the server to make that happen?

You do not need to do anything on the server side.
Multiple monitor will work with no problems as long as the client meet up with the requirements needed to run programs on multiple monitors.
Your client needs:
* Equal resolution monitors
* Total resolution not exceeding 4096 x 2048
* Top-left monitor being the primary

Just make sure on the .rdp file exported from ts remote app has the line 'span monitors:i:1'
(Edit .rdp file with notepad or any text editing software)

Hope it helps
