copying/moving email from an imap folder to a pst automatically

I need some advise with a client of mine who shares their main computer with the different owners. I have set up their outlook clients to sync with their google apps emails using IMAP.
However, one of the owners is prone to error and we do not want to give him direct access to his email...so I'm wondering if I'm able to apply rules to  IMAP accounts to copy the emails to a non-IMAP folder within outlook...

you probably could, but the rules would need to be clientside, and would mean he would need to access the mail anyhow. it might be better if you set a second mailbox, set the second to pull from the first (using the pop3 mail fetcher) and then gave access to the second mailbox, with outlook set to send "from" the first. that way, the second would always be able to see the mail from the first, but would not be able to remove any mail from it (meaning that mail would always be available if he messes up and deletes it)
