Python: any free integrated environment?

Hi Experts:
I want to find an easy way to develop some Python code. Is there any free Python development tool that provides an integrated environment for me to set break point, to do step-by-step debug, and to view variable values? If there is GUI that will be better.
    Thank you.

There's too many to count, and it also depends on your environment, Linux, WIndows, Mac.

Check them out here --> http://wiki.python.org/moin/IntegratedDevelopmentEnvironments

I successfully installed ERIC 5 http://eric-ide.python-projects.org/index.html
After installing all the pre-quisited applications, I download ERIC 5 and found the installation program starts from a python script. After running the installation script, I found that some bat files for ERIC are created under C:\Python31 and I need to start the IDE through them.
