Since the login form is not secured, I will not even consider looking for further reasons. The password is sent unencrypted.

At least from this point of view, www.LatexLab.org uses google docs, which is pretty secured. Not sure how great is the editor...

I'd like to try docs.latexlab.org, but I have to grant access to my google documents to use it and it's not made by Google,
so I have to grant access unknown service to my very private documents...

You could make another Google account to use with LatexLab.

Why would you trust LatexLab more than verbosus? It has access to my google docs, so my documents go unencrypted between docs.google.com and latexlab?

Integration with Google Docs is achieved via GData API. The application is developed using GWT and hosted on the Google AppEngine. A CLSI implementation provides the link to the LaTeX compiler.

You never leave Google's servers.

As a side note, I doubt that anyone would sniff for you papers. However a lot of sniffers log passwords. And since the password is already revealed why not delete something just for kicks.
