Corporate Outlook - forwarding all mails to an external email address - how

I worked for a corporate, and have a private Blackberry with private email account. Surprisingly, the security oiks say that it is OK for me to set up a rule that forwards intermal emails to an external email address. 'If I can, technically'. So, how?

Hi Peter,
You can setup a rule in Outlook that will forward all emails. To do this, create a new contact with your personal email address in, then you will need to go to the rules wizard. In Outlook 2003 this is in the Tools menu... Rules and Alerts. Click the New Rule button then start from a blank rule. Choose Check messages when they arrive then click next, click next again to apply to all messages, then select forward message to people or distribution list, select your contact then click next until you complete the wizard.
HTH,

Harkins - thank-you, but done that, but couldn't get my added contact (ie my private email address) as a contact from the global address list, or all contacts so added the email address in  'To' box. The rule appears to have been accepted, but didnt work when I tested it so I ran the 'Run rule now' (?) thing that appeared to fill my sent box, but didnt do anything else. What am I doing wrong? btw, the action thing next to the rule is empty? Don't know if that matters.
