How does a company link it's Facebook 'username' to their page?

Facebook says they do not allow a business to create a profile.  Then how do companies have the following Facebook accounts?

You create a fan page. If you are the authorized person from your organization then you just go to:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
to create the page. Then you can add all of the people that should be treated as administrators of the page.  Once you have something like 25 fans then you can create the "username" so that the page can come straight after the facebook.com/ like those you listed.

For more information about this process see the following pages from Facebook:

Note: Any of the users created as administrators when they post on the wall will show up as the Fanpage name instead of their own personal profile name. This is both handy and frustrating at times as it means that you can't create a message on the fan page that represents your personal opinion only official opinions of your organization.

Thanks.  I couldn't figure out how to reserve the 'username' after creating a business page.  I have to have 25 fans.  Understood.  Thanks.
