I am really confused when it comes to WPF Applications and Windows Forms Applications for charting. WPF looks to need an active internet connection given all of the HTTP lines. I need an stand alone application with charts. All I get so far if for WPF applications not windows forms applications. Please help, I need to understand how to use charting in a windows forms application.

Hi!

You can take a look at the following good tutorials:

For WPF (Using .NET 3.5), you can use the Charts included in the WPF toolkit:
http://wpf.codeplex.com/releases/view/29117

and sample codes can be found here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/delay/archive/2009/06/25/wpf-charting-it-s-official-june-2009-release-of-the-wpf-toolkit-is-now-available.aspx

For Windows Forms Application in VB.NET:
