can we setup IPAD on exchange 2010 environment. Is there a step by step guide on how to enable exchange and ipad for active sync...

Yes, you can setup Exchange 2010 enviroment on IPAD. A application Microsoft Exchange will be available on you IPAD. And you have to take settings from your Exchange Server and configure it on your IPAD Microsoft Exchange mailbox.

Exchange 2010 will work as long as port 443 is forwarded from your router/firewall to the server internal IP

Anything specific that i need to do on exchange server. 443 is on on the firewall for OWA. THanks

No, exchange enables activesync by default.
