Domain alias exchange

Hi, is it possible in Exchange 2003, to have a "domain alias" for users.

When adding user1 to domain he gets user1@verylongdomain.com, but I would like that he is "linked" to user1@short.com with user1@verylongdomain.com as default sender adress.

Is this possible, and what do I do with existing users then?

Check out these links.

Two step process, first you need to define the additional domain names as accepted/authoritative:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996910(EXCHG.80).aspx

Then you need to modify your e-mail address policy to include those domains:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201663(EXCHG.80).aspx
Yes you can add a new UPN suffix to user accounts
