Single Exchange Server will not sync contacts with the BES

We have one BES and several Exchange Servers, one of which resides here.  This exchange server and the people with mailboxes on it cannot sync contacts.  Everything else works fine.  If we move someone to one of the other Exchange Servers they work.  So it seems that it is just the connection between our Exchange Server and the BES.  What are we missing?  I put this as an exchange issue because the BES seems to be working fine.

Are these Exchange 2003 servers?   I have seen a lot of issues between BES and Exchange 2003 when the CDO.dll file version is not the same.   Check these out if they are different fix this issue...and it will more than likely resolve the sync problem.

cdo.dll is typically located here:  C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin\cdo.dll    Just right click open the properties and look at the version on the Exchange server and BES server.

It is Exchange 2003.  Those files are the same 6.5.7638.2.
