The Destination Server for this recipient could not be found in Domain Name Service

I am suddenly getting this message today for this recipient.  I am replying to his email so I'm not retyping his email address.

The destination server for this recipient could not be found in Domain Name Service (DNS).  Please verify the email address and retry.  If that fails, contact your administrator.
            <webmail.arnorthamerica.com #5.4.0>

It has been working up until today.  I've done the blacklist check with our email but it doesn't show that we are blacklisted anywhere.

what do you get for that recipient domain mx record?

at command prompt type
nslookup
set type=mx
domainname of recipient email (ex. example.com)

you should see one or more host names and below them IPs of these hosts.

if you don't see any hosts or IP part is emtpy, then recipient domain has some configuration issues

I get the following:

Server:  UnKown
Address:  10.0.0.250

*** UnKnown can't find ar-cc.com.cn:  Non-esistent domain

they have some problems with that domain config. below is whois info for that domain which lists their name server, when i query that name server for MX record it returns nothing

Shouldn't all users have the same email signature?

but the second NS is configured just fine.

you probably should alert your email recipient about that issue. They are losing lots of emails

I will let them know what you have here.  Any suggestions if there is anything I can do to let our emails get through to them again.  Because they had been up until today.

your email server probably randomly uses one of 2 name servers for that domain every time it tries to get mail server  IP for  ar-cc.com.cn.

and because of that if it hit ns12.edong.com it'll start working again, until it hit misconfigured ns11 again
