JBoss gurus,

I get the following error with jboss-4.0.5.GA_CP0 on Windows 2008 Server x64(R2)

ERROR [org.jgroups.util.Util] exception is java.net.SocketException: Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 0: JVM_Bind

any thoughts?

first solution is too look if no any other daemons are occupying jboss ports

Yes, there are no other services on the port.( I ran the netstat -ao)

use option -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true while starting JBoss
e.g
run.bat -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
