asked on

sharepoint create new summary view

experts,

i'm trying to create a new summary view on an anouncement list. Basically:
-i've added a field to announcements and titled it Area
-I've added announcements that should be displayed in different areas of my site
-i've created views for each announcement.
-when i add the announcement list  to each page (using the corresponding view) i can't duplicate the Summary View. it just gives me a standard view.

what's the best way for me to create a new view, and make it look the same as the summary view? i thought this would be simple.

thanks in advance.

by default, the view you get is standard.  you then go into the settings for the web part and change the view from Current View to another view.
