dataset in silverlight 4

Is there no namespace for dataset in silverlight? or is there an equivilent/alternative?

No .There is no namesapce in Silverlight for Dataset.  Silverlight is  a client side technology.

You need to use use Collection objects like List  , observablecollection  to play with data.

Hi razza_b;

Although Silverlight does NOT support DataSet's out of the box if you go to this link they have developed a "ADO.Net  DataSet for Silverlight Applications".interface.

If that does not meet your needs I would look at WCF RIA service or WCF RESTful service which is what Microsoft recommends.

Have you tried this yourself? I will download it but will it be compatible for SL 4?
