Any implications on the live PO once i have rebuilt the PO (ie change the path to database to a local file folder and after that step 4 is done properly)....

In Item 2 they set it to client server and direct and security to low.
In Item 3 you have to rebuild the po to get a wphost.db
- in console one in groupwise view click on the po object the user is in.
- right click GroupWise utilities -> System Maintenance
- Click on rebuild database
- Click on run, change the path to database to a local file folder!!!
- Click ok
Now you have a wphost.db which let you login to the po with direct access
Do not forget 4. If you do not you let you postoffice in a unsecure state.
Go on whith the TID
