I want to test the flash on a windows ce device. I want to do writes and reads from the flash over extended period of times. My question is with a limited about of space, say 512mb on the flash if I wanted to limited the size of the file that will be created for the testing, that is created dynamically by this test routine would I possible grab the size of the current flash and limit the file size to some fraction of the current free space? Also does GlobalMemoryStatus return anything related to the amount of free flash space as in something like DiskFreeSpaceEx?

Thanks

use FindFirstFlashCard() etc functions to determine what cards you have and their basic info.

and then maybe GetDiskFreeSpace() or GetDiskFreeSpaceEx():

So when referring to the flash drive does GetDiskFreeSpaceEx have any relationship to information returned by GlobalMemoryStatus? I mean should I check both before allowing x file size to be created, where x will also be dynamic memory that has to be created to write to the file.
Thanks

as far I as understand it, GlobalMemoryStatus() returns you MEMORYSTATUS, which is nothing to do with flash card
