Use my Motorola razr as a FAX modem

I have Motorola razr.  I would like to use it to send and receive a FAX sometimes.  The FAX software that comes with Windows XP says that it can communicate with the phone (IE: I can query the modem), but the FAX call never dials through.

I used Hyper Terminal to have the phone make a data call.  That worked.  I had the phone dial my home number.  It rang and I got the modem peeps when I picked it up.

So, why can't I make a FAX call?

My carrier is T-Mobile.

To use a cell phone as a fax modem, your carrier (T-Mobile) has to support CSD which almost nobody does anymore.
Instead, use an internet/email to fax solution which is far easier, faster, and can be free for two, up to 14 page faxes, per day. http://www.bestfreefax.com/freefax.php?ref=bestfreefax
