sql server replication log reader agent

I am trying to restart a stopped log reader agent for sql server replication. The agent is reporting "Could not retrieve agent status. (Object reference not set to an instance of an object. (Replication.Utilities))" even though the publication shows up in sql server management studio and I am able to run the snapshot agent. Not sure what to do to get this going again.

The replication is one with updatable subscribers. The publisher is SQL Server 2005 and the two subscribers are SQL Server 2008 R2.

Hello karlmc15,
That article doesnt seem to address my problem. I am having issues with replication and have not installed any reporting servers as the article addresses.

I ended up hiring an outside vendor to take care of the issue. Not sure what the resolution is, but the problem is fixed.
