Hello everyone and thanks in advance;

I currently have a Exchange 2k3 and 2010 co-existence deployment.

I have an Exchange 2003 Back End and Front End. Users can connect to the FE and get mail via OWA and RPC over httpc and active-sync

I have a mailbox on exchange 2010, it can not send mail out. Its mail is routed to the 2k3 FE. But all the communication between the FE and 2010 server seems to keep getting stuck in the respective queues of each server.

I will provide any information require and appreciate any assistance that can be offered.

first make sure you have the routing group connector
from the 2010 server run the following
Get-RoutingGroupConnector

the results should have two entries (one for each direction)
if not, you need to run
New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name "Interop RGC" -SourceTransportServers "Hub2010.contoso.com" -TargetTransportServers "Bridgehead2003.contoso.com" -Cost 10 -Bidirectional $true

you also want to look at your 2003 server
in exchange system manager check the smtp virtual server settings for connection control and smart host configuration

There wound up being dns errors, as well as some configuration on the 2k3 connectors that needed changing.
