Can Cisco phone CP7970G or CP7942G work with SIP

Hello
Please can Can Cisco phone CP7970G or CP7942G work with SIP or not. Please do I need to install software on this phone to work with SIP and if yes where I can get this software and how I can install it

7900 phones ship with sccp as standard, but Cisco produce sip images for nearly all of their phones, including those models.

You will need to download the software from cisco.com, and you'll need a support agreement and login to get access to them.

Once you have them, you can install on the phone with tftp.
