FTP from File Open box with Un and Pw

I want to open a file located on my FTP site from a Word "File > Open" box.  I can do it now, but I have to first enter the "ftp://ftp.whatever.com", press enter and then it prompts me for the UN and PW.

How do I include the UN and PW in the "ftp://ftp.whatever.com" line so I can do it in one step instead of two?

Something like "ftp://ftp.whatever.com UN:myname PW:mypass"?

Or a bit nicer:

ftp://<user name>:<password>@<ftp_site_address>
