Domain Nameserver Registration

I have tried to register new nameserver on name.com

ns1.website.com

and used my ip address on IP Address field (I am using Apache server on my own computer), I tried to wait for 8 hours, but still, the website is not working on the server.

I can reach the server directly using its IP Address.

Are you able to access ur website with the ip address.
if yes then chk whether url forwarding is done by ur dns company.

Yes, I can access the website using its ip address, however I can't access the domain name that assigned to the same ip address.

I have tried to change the "A Record" and now it works, however, I still don't know why it doesn't wok when I register nameserver and assign my ip address to the nameserver, then assign the nameserver to the domain name.

Any information would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Hi,

srry to say even i have not got any proper info regarding it.
Even i am searching for it.
I gave u the answer on my rnd exp on it.
the reason might be the domain name has to be pointed to ip address thru where it has to be hosted.
srry thts it what info i have but even if u get some more info pls let me know to.

But i was happy that my rnd exp helped u to solve ur issue

thanx

Hi,
@Medo3337 i hope ur question has been cleared if not please let me know.
So, that i would try to resolve it too.
Unfortunately, I still can't point the domain name to my server using nameserver.

I registered nameserver ns1.mywebsite.com and used static ip address with ns1.mywebsite.com, still doesn't work.
