Sounds like screen resolution issues to me. &nbsp;Can you create a new account in safe mode, then login into the running system using that?

I just reinstall SBS 2003 because the hard drives failed.<br />

Everything worked fine until I plugged in a USB disk to transfer files from the backup to the new install. I unplugged it at point point and the server shutdown (cold). Now when I restart it comes up but when I log in it freezes. The files resources are still available and exchange is still working but I can't do anything on the console. Ctrl+Alt+Del does not work either. I don't see anything in the event logs when I log in to safe mode (which works)<br />

Small Business Server (SBS) is a line of server operating systems targeted at small businesses by bundling the operating system with a number of other Microsoft products that would normally need to be purchased or licensed separately. The most notable inclusions are Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint and ISA/TMG (Microsoft's firewall and proxy server).
