I have a basic understanding of .NET and its relation to XML. With that in mind, I'm trying to figure out what  would be the most efficient way of parsing an RSS feed and converting it to GeoRSS.

Are you thinking that it would be best to parse a feed like using the methods of the first article, then convert to georss using the .NET geoRSS library?
