I am looking for a tool to test the performance/speed of a given site as more users start to use it. I know there are a lot of tools out there. But I was wondering if someone could guide me in the right direction. Thx.

I use this page http://www.uptrends.com/aspx/free-html-site-page-load-check-tool.aspx to check page load times.  If you check it now for a benchmark and print it out, you can check it later and see if more users are slowing down your pages.  There is also Google PageSpeed http://code.google.com/speed/page-speed/ .
