How do I export Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2010 and keep the Categories?

I need to move Outlook from an Exchange 2003 server to an Exchange 2010 server.  I exported from 2003 and them imported the PST, but the category information didn't transfer.

There are 2400 names with multiple categories.  How do I get the categories to move with the contacts?

Is there any program that will do the job?

Thanks.

Outlook 2007 (Outlook 2010) stores categories on the users mailbox wherein Outlook 2003 used to store this info in registry.
The custom categories color may not appear on recipient end

It would have been good if someone had found a 3rd party program to help with the job.
