Exchange 2007 and email address with an apostrophe

Hello Experts-

I have a situation where a user on my Exchange 2007 box can send email to an email address that has an apostrophe in it.

The receipient then replys and his email gets bounced.  I checked my firewall, and for message patterns it has * so that is not the issue.  I have just (within the last 5 minutes) whitelisted the email address in my spam filter.

The question is, could it be Exchange that is rejecting the message?

Need help on this one.

Thanks,
Mike
