Hi all,

Here's the environment:
2 sites, same domain, all servers are windows Server 2008 sp2 / Exchange 2007 sp2. Each site has a DC.

External Site - internet facing has CAS / HUB and 2 node mailbox cluster. Sales reps and other non-hq based personnel mailboxes live here. All email traffic passes through here.

Internal Site - CAS / HUB and another 2 node mailbox cluster. Used by personnel at the company head quarter.

Problem:

When setting up a number of active-sync devices (such as droid) or testing using https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/, the users whose mailboxes exist on the internet / external ex servers work no problem.  Users on the internal exchange do not.

Note that outlook anywhere (RPC/HTTP) works for both sets of users as does webmail access.

What i tried:
i read that the Microsoft-Virtual-Activesync virtual dir (IIS) on the internal CAS needs to have Windows and Basic authentication enabled - i did that and restarted iis.

I was also reading something about InternalURL / externalURL properties of the virtual directories and it appears fine, but i might be missing something there as well.

I am sure there's plenty info that would be required to get this resolved, so please dont hesitate to ask.

Thanks in advance for help,

Adam

resolved:

on the internal / back end CAS:

open IIS, uncheck Require SSL for Microsoft Server Activesync

Since front end takes care of the SSL stuff, the backend / internal CAS doent need to.
