I had a question about iPhones and applications for the iPhones experts here :)

Let's say I have an application running on my iPhone. I then lock the screen without closing the app. Will the app still run in the background? If so - for how long?

It depends how the app is written.  Certainly, apps can be written to continue running in the background perpetually, and will do so until your battery dies.  ("Scrabble," for example, will do this.)

Thanks macteo

What do you mean by run in the foreground? Do you mean it's still running?
