Problem with Firefox Bookmarks agonizingly slow when being searched

On FireFox 3.6.12   I recently have a problem searching and marking bookmarks.
I was told in the FireFox forum that
Firefox Bug 595530

is to blame but so far I have been given no answer. Are their any properties I can tweek to fix this at least temporarily??

Have you installed the SQLite 3.7.x upgrade?  If so, uninstall it, until they fix this problem.  FF developers are very slow to fix these kinds of problems, so expect months.  You don't need the SQL Lite upgrade.

If the 3.7 upgrade appears as a separate entry in the Control Panel -> Add remove programs, then uninstalling it will not remove SQLite completely, just the upgrade, which appears to be the problem.

If you only see ONE entry for SQL lite, I would still uninstall it, reboot, and reinstall 3.6.12.

Direct from Firefox I found out I have to wait for the solution in the next release as there is no waay to take the SQLite 3.7.x upgrade  off my system.

It was not what I wished to hear but that is it!

I told the questioner the solution -- uninstall the new upgrade, as that fixes it.  He doesn't want to do it for whatever reason.

Tell me how you uninstall the SQLite 3.7.x upgrade and I will do it. I can't seem to find a way to do this!

1.  Uninstall the entire SQL lite package in add/remove programs.
2.  Reboot
3.  Reinstall the ORIGINAL version you had from the original source, 3.6.12
4.  Reboot
5.  You are back to 3.6.12

Direct from the source. There is no real solution. I must wait for the next update to address this issue!
