Please recommend a software that I can buy to create cool photo galleries for websites.  I don't want it to be flash.  I just want to drop photos into this application and have the application do all the work.  I purchased Visual LightBox.  Concept is great but it isn't.  It doesn't let you easily add new photos periodically.  Thanks for the recommendations folks!

Hi nsitedesigns,

Will the target sites be static HTML pages, dynamic (database available) pages, or a CMS system (like WordPress) either as the main site or installed to a subfolder?

Target site will be simple html static page.  Just need to plunk in some photos of club members, club events, etc.  Visual Lightbox created subfolders with one called Data and another called Engine.  I don't know how it "worked".  All I know was it was easy to use but sucked to add more photos.

3mp3ror, I will have to research your links provided.  I don't know jquery, java or ajax.  Will that be a problem?

nsite,

The problem with any solution that outputs static pages is that they are intended to be a one-and-done operation.  Almost none of them will suck the page back in to allow you to add more images.  You either create new subgalleries or recreate the main one over and over.

Your better bet is to use one of _3mp3ror_'s links to find a javascript based gallery that pulls images in from a specified location.

Not really.  You need to know how to call external .js libraries (you do know that) and then just make sure you find one with good instructions so you know what you need to do to install it.
