Where can I download proof.cab for MSOffice 2007 pro?  My file is corrupted and cannot be read.
It's a brand new purchase and fails when trying to read proof.cab.

On another machine, do a search under here, and copy it to the same location on your system......

Thanks guys, but all this stuff is irrelevant.  Working around the path issue was no problem.  I'm a retired IT person and know my way around that stuff.  What I needed was where I could download the proof.cab file as the one on my disk was corrupted.  None of the 5 computers I have could read the file.  Microsoft, even being aware of the problems, never offered a capability to download the file.

Finally, I found a buddy with the version I was trying to install and he gave me his disk to download from.  I only wish one of you had recognized the real problem and offered to send me the file.  It would have saved me a couple of days of agrivation.

We cant send/post here, files like that, and being a retired IT Professional, you should know that the only legitimate way to get licensed files is from the mfgr.....

Its intellectual property.....

Sorry for not being able to help.....

My question was not solved by you.  I finally found my own solution so you can close this question I guess as unresolved on your part.
