Hi guys
I am using MSaccess 2003
Is there a way to extract  text like an  email address from a pdf file?
I subscribe to a fax service which converts incoming faxes to a pdf file and sends the resulting pdf to my email box.
These pdf's are mostly customer's invoices
Is it possible to use a vba script to extract an email address from the body of these pdfs?
Thank you
Dory

Scanned documents are just images.  It would be impossible to extract an email address unless you could first invoke an OCR scan somehow from VBA.  I'm not sure how that can be done, but even then, it would be a crapshoot as to whether or not the email address got recognized.  I don't see how this would ever be reliable.
