How To use Arial (Cyrillic) font  in Reports 10g for PDF output

My reports is in Arial (Cyrillic) font, but in there are only hieroglyphes in pdf output. Is there a problem with fonts on AS or something else?

You have to Edit $ORACLE_HOME/guicommon/tk/admin/uifont.ali file

One more thing to note

ORACLE_HOME/guicommon/tk/admin/PPD directory

screenprinter.ppd has default as *DefaultFont: Courier
and if you change to any other font, all your reports in pdf format will have that font by default.

The best way is to log a TAR with oracle support, with this font issue. In case you have access to metalink( oracle support) you may search knowledge base

We solved problem. NLS_LANG parameter is set with value "AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8" on application server.
