Missing .TLB file

I have created a Class in VB.Net (VS 2008). In the Bin\Debug and Bin\Release I have a .dll, .pdb and a .xml. There isn't a .tlb. How do I generate one? And what does this suggest that I have done incorrectly? e.g I have not created a Strong Name nor have I registered a GUID. I haven't typed anything other than program code into my project.
Please explain in detail as I am not very familiar with the terms an concepts. I did this once about 3 years ago but I have forgotten my solution.
thanks,
pat
