Cannot open "My Computer" icon
When I click on the My Computer icon, the desktop goes completely blank and then comes back up with the icons but Explorer will not open. If I right click on My Computer and select Explore, the same thing happens. Also, when trying to click on the Desktop tab in Display Properties, nothing happens. I have run mbam which shows no issues.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

It doesnt sound like any issues listed on those pages but moreso a matter of explorer.exe crashing.
Trying running sfc /scannow
which is the system file checker. This will check for any corrupt or missing system files. You may need your os install disk.

@OriNetworks - I'll try that but I'm wondering if this may have to do with an Active Directory issue. When I go into Group Policy settings, in the User Configuration/Administrati ve Templates, several of the options are missing. I can add them, but it's odd that they are missing.
