If you have the clear text email addresses and passwords, you can use IMAPCOPY to copy the mail and folders from Modusmail to Exchange.

http://home.arcor.de/armin.diehl/imapcopy/imapcopy.html

You can get the passwords from Modusmail using the command line tool that comes with it.  Requires you know the postmaster password.

mailbox -list2 domain.com -security <postmasterpassword> >out.txt

Once you have the cleartext passwords, you can use IMAPCOPY to transfer the mail from Modusmail to exchange.

You will need to create all those accounts in exchange prior to moving the mail over tho.

You will also need to enable the IMAP service on the exchange side.

Can't they just enable IMAP temporarily so you can do the IMAP copy?

On the Modusmail side, simply get them to set the service to Manual or Automatic under services and start the service up.  Make sure you have port 143 open between the migration machine (assuming you're not running it from localhost direct on the modusmail server) to access it.

You can change the port IMAP listens to by going into the Modusmail console > System > Services, Select IMAP > settings and set the port there if you don't want to use the standard port.
